The best bike multi tools
A slipping saddle, a rattling bottle cage or a snapped chain: pocket-sized bike tools that sort it by the roadside, from a 108g mini to a 21-function tool with tyre levers.
A multi tool is the one bit of kit worth taking on every ride. Hex keys do most of the work, tightening a saddle, a stem or a bottle cage, and the rest of the tool is there for the rides that go wrong: a chain tool for a broken chain, Torx keys for disc brake rotors, spoke keys for a wheel that’s started to rub.
The choice comes down to how far you ride and how much you want to carry.
