Put the phone down and it charges: no fumbling for the cable in the dark, and one less lead on the desk.
A wireless charger is a small thing that changes a daily habit. On the bedside table the phone just goes down at night; on a desk, a stand keeps it upright so messages are easy to read while it charges.
Check two things first. An iPhone 12 or later can use a magnetic charger, which lines itself up and holds on; any other phone that charges wirelessly works with a pad or a stand. And most don't come with a plug, so the speed depends on the adapter you already have.
What matters
