The top 5 at a glance
A wireless charger passes power to the phone through a coil under its surface, so the phone has to sit over that spot to charge. Flat pads lie under the phone, stands hold it upright with the screen in view, and magnetic chargers snap onto the back of the phone and line themselves up. A magnetic pad stays attached when the phone is picked up.
Qi is the standard almost every wirelessly charged phone uses. Qi2 adds a ring of magnets and charges at up to 15W, and the newer Qi2.2, sold as Qi2 25W, reaches 25W on recent phones. An older Qi charger gives an iPhone 7.5W. Charging this way is slower than a cable and warms the phone, so it suits overnight and desk charging.
What matters
- A magnetic charger needs a phone with magnets, or a magnetic case.
- A strong enough wall plug: about 30W for 25W charging.
- Cable length, so the charger reaches from the outlet to the bed.

#1Gatatol Qi2 25W Magnetic Wireless Charger with 30W Plug
$20–$30
A Qi2 25W magnetic pad that snaps onto an iPhone 12 or later (not the 16e), and the 30W wall plug it needs for full speed comes in the box. By Gatatol’s figures, an iPhone 17 Pro Max reaches half charge in 37 minutes.
What owners say: Owners say it charges quickly, snaps on firmly and works on iPhones and Pixel phones alike, and they praise the long cord and the build. No complaint recurs.
A closer look: On an iPhone 15 or earlier, or a 17e, it tops out at 15W, so the full 25W is for the newer models. It checks its own temperature and turns the power down if it runs hot. Galaxy and Pixel phones work on it as a standard wireless charger, and one without magnets of its own holds best in a magnetic case.
- Turns down power if hot
Best for: Recent iPhones, charged fast

#2Anker MagGo Qi2 Wireless Charger Stand (360°), with Plug and Cable
$50–$75
The round head turns a full 360° and tilts back, so the phone sits upright for FaceTime or sideways for a show, held by magnets and charging at up to 15W. Swing the charging head flat and it charges AirPods in a wireless case too.
What owners say: A strong magnet that keeps the phone in place, quick charging and a neat look earn the praise. Durability and how well it adjusts are where opinions split.
A closer look: Next to the bed it makes the phone a clock: turned sideways, an iPhone shows StandBy while it charges. This set comes with Anker’s USB-C wall plug and a USB-C cable, and Anker makes the stand for iPhones only, from the iPhone 12 on (not the 16e).
- Rotates 360° and tilts
- Head turns flat for earbuds
- Holds iPhone sideways for StandBy

#3KEEPRO Qi2 25W Magnetic Wireless Charger for Samsung with 30W Plug
$20–$30
Made for Samsung Galaxy phones, it charges a Galaxy S26 Ultra at up to 25W and other Galaxy S, Note and Z models at 10W to 15W from the 30W wall plug packed with it. It also charges Galaxy Buds and Pixel 10 phones.
What owners say: Well made and fairly quick to charge Samsung phones, by owners’ accounts, and it works well with magnetic cases.
Heads up: Most Galaxy phones need a magnetic case to use it, KEEPRO says, so add one if the phone doesn’t already have one.
A closer look: With 1.8 m (6 ft) of braided cable built in, the phone can be used on the couch as it charges. The magnets hold the phone firm if it’s bumped, and the pad guards against overheating and short circuits.
- Holds firm if bumped
Best for: Galaxy phones in magnetic cases

- Magnetic pad

#4Apple MagSafe Charger (1 m, 2025)
$50–$75
Apple’s own magnetic charger gives an iPhone 16, 17 or Air 20W to 25W, depending on the model, with a 30W adapter, and up to 15W to an iPhone 12 to 15 or a 17e. Qi2, the standard other magnetic chargers follow, was built on MagSafe, which Apple shared with the group behind Qi in 2023.
What owners say: Owners rate the charging highly and call it fast. Some suspect their unit wasn’t genuine Apple, and value divides them.
Heads up: There’s no plug in the box: a 30W USB-C adapter, sold separately, unlocks the 25W speed.
A closer look: An iPhone 8 to 11 still charges on it, at up to 7.5W but without the magnetic hold, so centre the phone. A MagSafe case, or none, gives the firmest grip, while thick or metal-backed cases get in the way. The 1 m (3.3 ft) cable is built in, so a frayed one means a new charger.
- Charges older iPhones too
- Holds through a MagSafe case
Best for: Staying with Apple’s own charger
- Type
- Magnetic pad
- Max power
- Up to 25W
- Standard
- Qi2.2

- iPhone 12 and later (not 16e)

#5INIU 15W Wireless Charger Stand
$10–$20
Two charging coils give it a wide charging area, so the phone charges upright or sideways without hunting for the spot, and its status light dims in the dark. It needs no magnets in the phone, so Androids and iPhones without MagSafe work with it as well.
What owners say: Handy, easy to use and good quality, owners say, though charging speed, phone compatibility and reliability get mixed reviews.
A closer look: It sets its speed to suit each phone, up to 15W on some Androids and 7.5W on an iPhone. INIU asks for a wall plug of 18W or more, which isn’t in the box. A flashing light usually means it has found a coin, keys or a card on the stand, so clear them off.
- Charges upright or sideways
- Status light dims at night
- Flashes when it finds metal
